We understand that getting into an accident is a stressful situation so we work directly with your insurance company making the repair experience as quick and easy as possible. We have rental cars available on site and work with the local rental car services so you can drop your car off and have a rental waiting for you to use during the repair process. We also offer Flat-Bed Towing and a pick-up service for local customers.

History

Peters Body & Fender is a full service Auto Body Repair Facility in Oakland New Jersey which has been in business for over 35 years. The current owner Dave Laganella has been a mechanic in Oakland for over 30 years. Dave bought Peters 8 years ago, prior to that he owned and operated Atlas Auto Repair which was right around the corner. Dave had always admired Peters Body & Fender so when the opportunity came up to make the move he did. The name Peters Body & Fender comes from the original owners, Hank and Judy Peters, who started the business in 1976. Since then it has continued to grow and not only maintain its original success but has made the changes needed to keep up with all of today’s new technology.

Board Member of the New Jersey Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP)

Dave is the Collision Chairman of the AASP, which is a state wide organization that helps guide repair facilities to uphold the highest standards in the automotive industry from state-of –the-art equipment to conforming to all applicable state and local laws. Dave writes a bi-monthly column in the AASP’s New Jersey Automotive magazine which keeps the service provider as well as customers informed on the ever changing repair process.

Green Certified with the State of New Jersey

At Peters Body & Fender, we believe that in this day and age it is very important to be as “Green” as possible. We are one of only two shops in the state of NJ that is Green Certified but we have taken it to another level. Not only do we use water based paints which is a huge step in saving our environment we have installed solar panels on the roof of our building in order to produce our own electricity to power the shop. Peters Body & Fender not only offers complete Auto Body repairs but also mechanical repairs as well. We have two full time mechanics on site in addition to our Auto Body Repair Technicians and Painters so we are able to fulfill all of your automotive needs.
